Today I experienced a baby-sitting snafu that prevented me from participating in the sew-in, BUT I figure our troops probably experience lots of snafus and still get the job done. So I used a baby gate to barricade my son, Kenny, in my sewing room with me and let him dismantle my things while I worked. You can see my helper at the bottom of the shot. I was able to complete this quilt top in enough time to run it over to Rita at the sew-in. You can see some of the beautiful stuff they worked on here and also, Wanda at Exuberant Color, gave a lovely tutorial on a fast and fun block that can be used in lots of ways.
I also was able to get a few shots of a neat phenomenon in our backyard. We have a rose bush that did not bloom last year, but managed to climb up the neighbors tree this year. It looks like the tree has sprouted a garland of roses.
And I also found another awesome craft blog with some great tutorials. It's called Abigail's Crafts How To and I love this felt coin purse. Enjoy!
