Craft Room Redesign

I love my new craft room. It's not Pottery Barn. It's not out of a catalog. It's all me using a bolt and a half of blue gingham, paint, and a whole lot of hot glue.

Here's the layout, from left to right...

My husband helped me take out the old closet doors. I hung a tension rod and made curtains. It makes the space in the closet more accessible. I'd show you pics of the inside of the closet, but that area is currently off display. :)
I made both the "canvas with wings" and the "dream" art... might come up with tutorials for those...

Painted my sewing table lilac (and have plans to decoupage it later) and made the chalkboard with some chalkboard paint and a frame from a thrift store.

Found the antique hat rack from a thrift store, the antique knitting basket belonged to my husband's grandmother and my design wall is just a picnic tablecloth with the back facing out.

The shelves were from IKEA. They were there before, but now they actually hold crafty things like they're supposed to.

Close up of my inspirational Emerson quote.

And, yes, I hung a clothesline through the middle of the room. It's fun to hang things on and it is a great way to photograph quilts.

And just in case you're curious, here are a couple before shots. It was functional, but not inspirational.
